Landscaping comes in many different forms, and it is not a one-size-fits-all. Landscaping modifies and improves the current state of a home or business. Landscaping can be broken down into several different categories: planting of flowers and trees, dirt work and sod, decorative rock or bark and edging, lawn maintenance and care, pest control, and sprinkler systems, to name a few.
Our focus and expertise
AB Masonry & Landscape focuses on the planting, sod, and dirt work and the decorative side of things. AB Masonry doesn’t do lawn maintenance as far as mowing, thatching, aerating, pest control, and other areas of lawn maintenance. I have several contacts, and when asked, I would be happy to point a customer in the right direction for those services.
Some of our services
Some of the landscaping work that we do at AB Masonry & Landscape includes dirt work and the installation of sod. Sprinkler systems and repair, edging and decorative rock or bark, and some planting. These services last about 9-10 months out of the year in the Treasure Valley weather, depending. The most common jobs done by AB Masonry & Landscape are sprinkler system work and doing decorative designs and borders around the landscaping with rock, bark, or other materials.

Available materials
There are several material companies I work with to provide the material to my customers. Victory Greens is a standard material supplier for a lot of my decorative rock and flagstone. They offer a great variety, colors, shapes, and sizes of rock to fit my customers’ needs. D & B Supply is another excellent location for more of a limited variety but better priced to suit different budgets. These are just a couple of the companies that I use.
Preparing the ground
Planting and sod work is another area of expertise. We also help with drainage issues if puddling is occurring at a residence. Good quality topsoil is essential to the growth of sod and to keep it staying green for a long time. Most of the work is in the preparation, and if the prep work is done right, the finished product will most likely turn out great!
